Sunday, December 12, 2021—The Performing Arts Department music division, under the direction of Department Head Felicia Brady-Lopez, presented its Annual Winter Concert. For our student singers and musicians, the concert was a celebrated and emotional return to the stage in front of a live and energized audience in the David E. and Stacey L. Goel Theater.
The concert was a showcase of talent, creativity, and technical mastery with featured performances by: Lower School Chorus, Lower School Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Players, Chorale, Illumina, and Senior Small. The Winsor Community Orchestra with guest musicians performed “O Hanukkah” and the Holberg Suite.
A notable highlight of the evening was Mr. Andrew Marshall inviting the audience to stand and sing two songs with singers and players, “Deck the Hall” and “Angels We Have Heard on High.” One special audience member in attendance was Winsor’s beloved choral director of 42 years, Lisa Talliacq, who was given a round of applause by the crowd.
A special thanks to performing arts director Ms. Felicia Brady-Lopez, choral director Mr. Andrew Marshall, music faculty Ms. Julia Connor, and tech director substitute Ms. Carey McKinley for this wonderful musical evening.
