Winsor Will Host AISNE Middle School DEI Conference

We are excited to announce that Winsor is hosting the AISNE Middle School Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Conference on Saturday, November 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The conference is a great opportunity for middle school students to attend workshops that explore issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion with their peers from Winsor and from other schools. The keynote speaker will be Ruby Bridges. The young adult speaker will be Joddy Nwankwo from Stanford.

In an email sharing the announcement with the independent school community, the organization stated, “AISNE is grateful to The Winsor School for being our 2020 Middle School Diversity, Equity & Inclusion virtual host school. Thank you, AISNE student conference pioneer Sharon Jones Phinney, and nationally-recognized diversity, equity and inclusion leader and history educator Julian Braxton, and your team at Winsor, for partnering with AISNE to make this year’s conference a reality!”

Like the High School Students of Color Conference held in May, this year’s Middle School Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Conference will be a tremendous demonstration of community collaboration and volunteerism on the part of faculty, staff, students and administrators across AISNE’s network.
