Lower School Family Gathering: Community and Connection

Thursday, September 8—The Winsor School hosted a Lower School family gathering on a warm evening in the courtyard. More than 120 Lower School family members and students gathered for a barbeque-style dinner to mix, mingle, and reconnect with one another. While parents and guardians chatted, students played lawn games such as cornhole, jump rope, frisbee, and even a giant Connect Four.

Parents’ Association co-chairs Ann Glynn P’23, ’24 and Liz Oh P’26, ’28, class reps, and new and returning families joined Head of School Sarah Pelmas, Head of Lower School Sharon Jones Phinney, and Director of Advancement Erika McMahon for the social event.

“We are excited to bring our parents and guardians back to campus and create community among them. It was fun to begin with our Lower School families, new and returning, said Director of Advancement Erika McMahon. “There was a lot of joy in the courtyard Thursday night. Everyone is happy to be back together, and it’s going to be a great year,” she added.
