Karilyn Crockett ’91 Appointed Boston’s New Chief Equity Officer

On June 29, 2020, Karilyn Crockett ’91 was appointed Boston’s new Chief Equity Officer, heading the city’s new Equity and Inclusion Office. View the Boston Globe coverage of Karilyn’s appointment and her powerful acceptance speech.

In one of the Boston Globe pieces covering her appointment, she reflected on graduating from Winsor. “I was able to really flourish there,” she said. “It was such an incredible education for young women. You learned to take your questions and your seeking seriously. It just sets you up for college, for leadership, for life.”

Karilyn recently returned to Winsor as a speaker during the our 2018 Annual MLK Celebration, and was featured in the Spring 2018 Winsor Bulletin as part of a piece on Winsor alumnae working to bring about change in the Boston.
