The Baldwin Recital Hall is thoughtfully designed to offer optimal acoustics, making it ideal for the Lower School Orchestra, Upper School Chamber Players, and master classes. The hall is well equipped with a three-piece timpani, orchestral chimes, mallet instruments, and a grand piano. This elegant space serves as Winsor’s venue for After School Music Program recitals and smaller performances, providing an intimate and acoustically refined environment.
Winsor’s music lab features 16 digital pianos set up for individual, small-group, and large-ensemble playing using headphones or speakers. In addition, Chorus I/II students rehearse on risers during their Performing Arts Block classes.
The spacious Mars Costume Shop features 12 Pfaff sewing machines, one Pfaff serger, and one Janome sewing machine with embroidery capabilities. The large sewing tables, mannequins, and ample fabrics offer students everything they need for exploring and building costumes for various productions and projects.
Winsor’s Black Box theater is a versatile space that holds up to 150 guests. Its moveable seating can adapt to a wide range of performances that are supported with professional lighting and sound systems. Lower and Upper School acting classes, after school play rehearsals, Performing Arts Block dance classes, and student activities are at home here.
