Elizabeth Bennett Carroll ’89

Elizabeth Bennett Carroll spent the first half of her career as an environmental policy consultant, ultimately co-founding BlueWave Strategies LLC, a Boston-based firm that she and her partners sold in 2010. Previously, she held positions at Booz Allen & Hamilton, Eastern Research Group, Brownfields Recovery Corporation, and the White House Council on Environmental Quality. After the sale of BlueWave, Elizabeth launched a second career as an educator, joining the faculty of Roxbury Latin, where she serves as a Class Dean, teaches environmental science, manages the school’s internship programs, and assists with admissions. Elizabeth holds an MEM from Yale and a BA from the University of Virginia. She joined the Winsor Corporation in 2008 and took on the role of President of the Alumnae Board in 2009. She joined the Winsor Board of Trustees as an ex-officio member for two years and then became an elected member while simultaneously co-chairing the search committee for Winsor’s eighth Head of School. She now serves as the Clerk of the Board and is a member of both the Executive Committee and the Committee on Trustees. In addition to her work at Winsor, Elizabeth serves on the Board of Directors of Acadia Center and on the Board of Advisors at GBH. She lives in Wellesley with her husband John and their three sons.
