Larry Cheng P’23, ’25, ’28
Larry Cheng is managing partner of Volition Capital, a technology growth equity firm that he co-founded in 2010. He focuses on investment opportunities in fields ranging from consumer e-commerce to enterprise cloud applications. He spent the prior five years as a partner at Fidelity Ventures after earlier roles at Bessemer Venture Partners and Battery Ventures. As an undergraduate at Harvard College he ran Harvard Student Agencies and he now sits on the Harvard Alumni Association Board of Directors for his alma mater. In addition to serving on several corporate boards, Larry serves in the nonprofit sphere as a board member of Wycliffe Bible Translators and as an overseer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. At Winsor, he is the vice president of the board of trustees and has volunteered as a parent agent and class coordinator with the Winsor Fund. Larry and his wife Joanne have three daughters, all of whom are Winsor students or alumnae.
