This was a milestone week for our seniors, who finished their final week of classes, and will begin their Independent Learning Experiences (ILEs) next week. Thanks to the creativity of our faculty and alumnae, and their willingness to share their time, the seniors have an exciting list of Pop-Up ILE courses from which to choose. Take a look at the Pop-Up ILE Course Catalogue.
In addition, in response to requests from seniors, Ashley Marlenga Herbst ’01 will be offering a series of six 1-hour Zoom sessions on different topics relating to personal finance. Possible topics include: Budgeting 101, Investing 101, and What Do I Need to Know When I Take Out a Loan. Open to everyone in the senior class, the personal finance classes are ‘extra’, and are not part of the ILE requirements. Ms. Herbst is focused on ensuring the sessions will be relevant in addressing what the seniors most want to learn, and will gather feedback on topics throughout the course.
