2022 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

A total of 17 Winsor students received 2022 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for their art, selected from among 52 individual submissions and three portfolios. The competition is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Congratulations to all our talented winners.

Silver Medal for Exceptional Work in ART PORTFOLIO: Brigid O’Connor ’22
More than 100,000 students submitted more than 260,000 works of art and writing to the 2022 Scholastic Awards. Brigid’s work was selected for excellence in originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice. Less than 2,000 works received this national medal among the total submissions.
Gold Medal for PORTFOLIO AWARD: Franchesca Vilmenay ’22
A total of twenty-two students from across the country have been selected for this honor. Recipients of the Gold Medal Portfolio Award receive recognition during the National Awards Ceremony. Franchesca will also receive a scholarship, a first for Winsor in this ​​contest!
