This week, the Lower School presented a virtual first: an original fall play titled A Suburban Sleepover and Other Tales of Terror.
During a sleepover on the night before their first day of high school, a group of friends partake in the ancient pasttime of telling scary stories. As the night grows cold and creepy, and they explore stories from every corner of the globe, they learn how fear connects us, what makes a great ghost story, and what they are afraid of within themselves.
The original script was developed by the Lower School student cast through improvisation exercises, movement exploration, independent writing, and – of course – sessions telling their own scary stories!
